In the last 8 days I have done 3 '2 a day' rides. They have not totaled major time or mileage, all days < 60 miles total.
* Presque Isle TT followed by 35 mile 20.5 mph AVG ride down to Southington
* 40 mile hill climbing ride this morning followed by 15 mile TT work in Gates Mills
These type of efforts are planned to help elevate the fitness for the Tour of the Valley. I will do another hard week this week and probably plan for 10 hours total and then start the taper on Monday of next week. I'll then do some short efforts, some hard, the week prior and then do the 4 races in 3 days from July 10 through July 12th. Hopefully my fitness will be good and legs will be fresh for a decent performance. I expect it to be extremely fast with a large field in the CAT 4 races.
